My goal for November 2013 was simple: dedicate the time I would normally spend writing for NaNoWriMo to blog improvement.
Though I’ve been blogging since high school (LiveJournal and Xanga for the win!), the topic of “blog improvement” was new to me. Never before have I had a readership, or people who care what goes on in my corner of the Internet. If one other person read my words, I considered that an accomplishment. However, Baking & Babies is no longer just for me. YOU are out there (thank you for being out there!!) and YOU care what goes on around here.
So here’s what’s NEW:1. The Logo: I’m sure you noticed. Or am I that vain, and you’re all as unobservant as me? Check it out, now that you’re thinking about it. J had a friend who’s a graphic designer create it for me as a birthday gift! And now there are no more stock photos up there…just a cute little cupcake with a baby on top. What do you think?
2. BlogLovin’: Have you been over to BlogLovin’? Its a great big community/blog-reader…basically, you can claim your own blog, and follow just about any other blog out there. Then, all the new posts are compiled into one tidy page, where you can catch up and read along without jumping from site to site. Baking & Babies is now an active member of the BlogLovin’ community: click that ‘Follow Me’ link to your right.
3. Facebook: I’ve “outed” myself a little, and created a Facebook page. Though I hemmed and hawed for ages about whether I wanted to come out of my quasi-anonymous hiding place, I’m also a bit of an attention-seeker here on the web. So come on, click on over to Facebook and give Baking & Babies a shout-out.
So what do you think? Are you a fan of the improvements, or are things changing too fast for you? What did you get up to in the month of November?
