I’m a bad blogger. I obviously am not as dedicated to my craft as I should be. The evidence? I only have ONE picture of this pie, and its an oven-shot. That’s right, ladies and jellybeans, I FORGOT to take a photo of the finished product.
Okay, let me make a confession. I didn’t forget. I took the pie to a friend’s house for dinner, and felt like to much of a fool to pull out my camera and say “Oh hey, I blog anonymously, and though you might not ever see this photo, I have to take some pictures of you cutting up the dessert that I brought.” I’m just not that person. I wish I were, honestly, because the finished product looks delicious. All the chocolate sinks to the bottom, and the lovely cookie crust forms on top. Mmmmm, so good. Especially for breakfast.
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup room temperature butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 bag (about 2 cups) chocolate chips
Beat together the butter and two sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, waiting until the first egg is completely incorporated before adding the second. Beat in the vanilla extract, then add the flour and salt. Stir in the chocolate chips and scrape entire mixture into pie shell. Bake at 325 for about 50 minutes.
